Crime in Bingley

Alert message sent 23/10/2021 20:17:00

Information sent on behalf of West Yorkshire Police

Dear Citizen

As well as using my local knowledge I regularly receive intelligence packages for my ward areas. These break down reported crime and help me identify where we are successfully reducing crime, identify crime types and vulnerable locations and where we need to improve on.

Bingley continues to reduce it's recorded burglaries, likely due to the increasing neighbourhood watches and how good residents are at reporting suspicious incidents live time. A good community network of sharing information and good crime prevention knowledge and practice I am sure contributes to this. Currently we are at a 53% reduction.
As the nights gets darker and historically burglaries increase during this period, please continue to remain vigilant.

Although we have low numbers for recorded vehicle crimes, this is where I feel we can build on and reduce crime further.
I have attached keyless theft crime prevention advice as this is on the increase nationally.
Power tools and cash are the targeted items for Bingley.
I've attached theft from motor vehicle crime prevention advice.

Bingley continues to be a safe place to live and together we can build on this.

Kind regards

Sgt Terri Green
