Calderdale Lower Valley covers the wards of:
Brighouse, Elland, Greetland&Stainland (G&S) Hipperholme&Lightcliffe H&L)  Northowram&Shelf (N&S) and Rastrick

For the week 8 to 14  November

Burglary Residential – 5
Vehicle Crime – 9

Burglary Residential
House entered via unsecured window, and property taken – (G&S)
Patio door forced, entry gained and property taken (H&L)
Padlock forced on shed, and pedal cycle taken (H&L)
Patio door forced, entry gained and vehicle keys taken along with the vehicle, which was parked outside (H&L)
Attempt made to force open door and window, damage caused but no entry gained (N&S)

Vehicle Crime
Vehicle entered by unknown means but no property taken (Brighouse)
2 vehicles parked at service station damage believed in attempt to take property (Brighouse)
2 mountain bikes taken from bike rack attached to vehicle after locks forced (Brighouse)
Registration plates removed from vehicle (Elland)
Land Rover Discovery taken by unknown means (G&S) – still outstanding
Rear registration plate removed from vehicle (G&S)
Volkswagen Tiguan taken by unknown means (G&S) – since recovered
Ford Transit Van taken (G&S) – since recovered

Increase in crime is never a pleasant thing for me to report but, your local Neighbourhood Team, supported by patrol officers, will be out conducting reassurance patrols over the coming weeks so you may see an increase in police activity
