Calderdale Lower Valley Residential Burglary and Vehicle Crimes

For the week 19  to 25  July we have seen offences of residential burglary,  theft from motor vehicle and theft or motor vehicles committed in the area.

Attempt residential burglary – attempt to force door on house whilst occupant away but no entry gained (Rastrick) and lock forced on garden gate but suspect(s) believe disturbed by house occupant. AS previously reported, believed this offence was in order to commit further offence of burglary at the address (Stainland)

Full residential burglary – outbuilding entered after bolt cut on door (believed attempt to steal ride on mower) Norland area,  1  house entered via open downstairs window (purse, cash and car keys taken (Stainland), 2 sheds entered and believed attempt to enter house via open conservatory window (Stainland). Shed entered after padlock cut on gate (Stainland). 1 house entered by unknown means and jewellery taken (Brighouse).

Theft from motor vehicle – Attempt to enter 1 vehicle by trying handle and then entry gained to 2nd vehicle by unlocked door (Elland), Container of vehicle damaged but no entry gained (Brighouse), window smashed, suspect reaches in, takes media/sat nav from console before being gained off by a witness (Brighouse) , vehicle entered by unlocked door, searched but believed no property taken (Elland),

Theft of motor vehicle -  1 vehicle taken and recovered short time later, 4 persons arrested (Hipperholme), Land Rover Evoque stolen from Rastrick, and a Honda WW motorcycle stolen from Hipperholme but later recovered in Wibsey.
