Parking Issues - Warren Lane in Arthington

Alert message sent 25/06/2021 07:17:00

Information sent on behalf of West Yorkshire Police

Recently, parking issues on Warren Lane in Arthington have been brought to our attention.

Yesterday, officers attended in relation to repeated complaints about parking causing an obstruction. Whilst officers were there, these complaints were echoed by a contractor who stated he's had to cancel maintenance work previously, due to being unable to get down the road.

Concerns had also been raised about whether emergency vehicles could pass through if needed, which is a very real possibility, given that there is an open water area nearby that is often used for swimming.

2 FPNs were issued for obstruction of an access point for a Yorkshire Water facility and 2 other drivers spoken with regarding parking appropriately – We will continue to monitor the situation and take action where appropriate.
