Alert message sent 02/06/2021 13:30:00

Information sent on behalf of West Yorkshire Police

As requested by local residents, officers have today attended West Park Drive to deploy the speed gun. Within an hour, four vehicles were stopped when seen to be travelling between 26 and 30mph in a 20 mph zone.

Officers then visited Ash Road and Headingley mount. One vehicle was stopped by officers after being seen to drive at 31mph in a 20mph zone.

As it is currently the school holidays, more children will be out and about & drivers speeding could have devastating consequences.

Please stick to the road limits, they are set with safety in mind.
