SNAPPED LOCK

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Victoria Avenue on Thursday 29th October between 15:00rs and 22:30hrs

the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry

Suspect/s have gained entry by attacking the outer casing of the door lock exposing the barrel of the lock which is then snapped.  Untidy search of the first floor bedroom where Items have been taken

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (please add times if known) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers.
