Community Alert: Firework Safety This Bonfire Season

🎆 Bonfire Night Safety Reminder 🎆

Bonfire Night is a great opportunity to get together with family and friends, but it's important that everyone celebrates safely and responsibly.

Every year, fireworks cause injuries and can be frightening for pets, livestock, elderly residents and others who may be sensitive to loud noises. A little consideration can make a big difference.

Please remember:

✅ Only use fireworks responsibly and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

✅ Fireworks should only be handled by responsible adults.

✅ Never throw fireworks or aim them at people, vehicles, animals, property or emergency workers.

✅ If you're planning a display, be mindful of your neighbours and those who may be affected by loud noise.

✅ Anti-social or dangerous use of fireworks can result in police action.

By looking out for one another and using fireworks responsibly, we can help ensure everyone enjoys a safe and memorable Bonfire Night.

If you witness dangerous firework use or anti-social behaviour, please report it via 101. In an emergency, always call 999.

Thank you for helping to keep Bradford's communities safe.
