Between the time and date stated, unknown suspect(s) entered the rear garden of a property and attempted to gain entry by forcing a window. Damage was caused during the attempt, however entry was not gained and the suspect(s) left the scene. Crime Prevention Advice🔒 Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secure, even when you are at home. 💡 Consider installing security lighting, CCTV, or a video doorbell to deter offenders and capture evidence. 🌳 Keep fences, gates and garden areas secure where possible to restrict access to the rear of your property. 👀 Be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activity in your neighbourhood. 📹 If you have CCTV, doorbell footage, or witnessed anything suspicious around the time of this incident, please contact police via 101 or online quoting the relevant crime reference number. Working together, we can help keep our communities safe.
Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (please add times if known) to check if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers. Whilst we do not wish to alarm residents, it is always worthwhile reviewing your home security and reporting anything that seems suspicious. If you have any information regarding this or any other burglary, please contact us on 101. Thank you for helping to keep our communities safe.
