⚠️ Burglary Incident Reported We would like to make residents aware of a recent burglary reported in the area. Between the times stated, the occupant left their property to attend work. Upon returning home, they discovered that the rear door of the property had been opened and an untidy search had been carried out inside the address. Fortunately, nothing was reported stolen during the incident. Crime Prevention Advice🔒 Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secure before leaving your home. 💡 Consider fitting security lighting, CCTV, or a video doorbell to help deter offenders and capture evidence. 🏠 Make your property appear occupied when out by using timer switches on lights. 👀 Remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood. 📹 If you have CCTV, doorbell footage, or witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, please contact police via 101 or online quoting the relevant crime reference number. Your information could help prevent further offences and assist ongoing enquiries. #CommunityAlert #BurglaryPrevention #StaySafe #WorkingTogether
Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between AS ABOVE to check if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers. Whilst we do not wish to alarm residents, it is always worthwhile reviewing your home security and reporting anything that seems suspicious. If you have any information regarding this or any other burglary, please contact us on 101. Thank you for helping to keep our communities safe.
