🚨 Off-Road Bike Seized in Thorpe Edge 🚨

Dear Resident,

On Friday 25th September, as part of Operation Stirpond, officers on patrol in Thorpe Edge spotted an off-road motorbike being ridden on Idlethorpe Way.

The rider clearly had other ideas and attempted to make off from officers. Believing he could leave police behind in a cloud of smoke, his plans quickly unravelled when his riding skills ran out, resulting in an unexpected meeting with a parked Vauxhall Insignia.

Thankfully, no members of the public were injured, and the bike was subsequently seized.

Illegal off-road bike use continues to cause concern for our communities, creating danger, nuisance and anti-social behaviour. We will continue to work proactively to identify riders, seize vehicles being used unlawfully and take action against those responsible.
