Attempted Theft From Vehicle ( Suspect Arrested ) - Central Avenue, Shipley BD18

Dear Resident,

Sometime between 9am and 10.30am on 03/09/2026 an adult female was witnessed trying to steal items from the back of a delivery van on Central Avenue, Shipley. With the assistance of members of the public, the suspect, a 26 years old female, was identified and arrested. She cannot be named at this stage due to ongoing enquiries. Further enquiries revealed that she was also wanted for 2 thefts from shops and she also attempted to bite the arresting officer who was uninjured.
