Burglary Near You -

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on New Bank Rise , BD4 on Sunday 17h August between 0800hrs and 2357hrs, the method of entry was by opening the window of the kitchen in the back of the house and gaining entry. Once inside an untidy search has been conducted and they have broken a lock to a bedroom and stolen items from the room. cash and a mobile phone have been stolen. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between times above to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
