Proactive Patrols - Near You on Birkland Street, BD3

Dear Resident,

Following information received regarding suspected ghost registration plates being detected by an ANPR camera on Birkland Street, BD3, particularly during Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, local officers have been carrying out proactive patrols in the area.

On Sunday 2nd August 2026, PCSO colleagues and PC 1909 Holt conducted high-visibility patrols on Birkland Street using specialist equipment designed to identify vehicles displaying ghost or altered registration plates. Officers also engaged with Bradford Council staff to discuss the concerns and gather further information.

These patrols form part of ongoing efforts to tackle vehicle-related crime, improve road safety, and provide reassurance to residents and businesses.

We will continue to work with partner agencies and carry out targeted patrols where concerns are identified. If you notice any suspicious vehicles or activity in your area, please report it through the appropriate channels.
