Attempt Burglary Near You - Park Lane, Baildon.

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of an attempt burglary that occurred on Park Lane, Baildon,  this occurred between Monday 10th August at 20000hrs and Tuesday 11th August 2030hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock to try and allow entry. Thankfully in this instance they were unsuccessful. Unfortunately damage was caused to the door. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Monday 10th August -Tuesday 11th August to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
