Yesterday, Keighley NPT officers executed a warrant in Chorley alongside Lancashire Police South Rural Task Force and the RSPCA. We were there following a suspected badger baiting incident in Bradford — but while searching for wildlife crime evidence, we uncovered far more. Officers seized a large quantity of cannabis, cash, and suspected Class A drugs, along with evidence linked to the original offence. This is a clear reminder that those involved in wildlife crime are often connected to wider criminality and organised crime groups. Wildlife crime is a national priority, and we will continue working with partner agencies and neighbouring forces to target offenders and disrupt cross-border criminality. |
