Burglary Near You - Westburn Crescent, Keighley BD22

Dear Resident

You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred at and address on Westburn Crescent, Keighley. 

At approximately 1:37am on 23/06/2026, two suspects are captured on CCTV walking down Westburn Crescent and attempt to gain entry to the house door but are unsuccessful. They leave on foot and return at 2:16am where they are seen to enter the property and use torches to search the downstairs property. 

The suspects are then seen to be joined by two other males at 2:27am on two bikes and they leave on the bikes. The suspects used a blow torch to gain entry as the side door lock has been completely burnt off. They entered the house and opened a number of cupboards before leaving empty handed. It's believed that they were looking for the keys to the victims car.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (times) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
