You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Monday 29th May between 1530hrs and 2215hrs, where entry was gained by snapping a cylinder lock.

Between the stated dates and times, the victim left their property locked and secure. Upon returning, they discovered that the lock on a side door had been snapped, allowing entry. An untidy search was carried out throughout the property; however, nothing was reported as taken.

We would kindly ask the following:

Please ensure your lock is of a suitable security standard and fitted correctly. We recommend locks with a 3-star rating, clearly marked on the front, and certified to TS007 or SS312 standards (see image if provided). Many reputable suppliers offer these anti-snap locks.

While we do not wish to cause alarm, it is always beneficial to review your home security and remain vigilant. Please report any suspicious activity to the police.
