Attempt Burglary near you - ST AIDANS ROAD, Baildon |

Dear Resident
You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on St Aidan's Road, Baildon this occurred Monday 27th April 0000hrs and Tuesday 28th April 1500hrs, the method of attack was by blow torch and then snapping the cylinder lock to try and allow entry. Thankfully no entry was gained on this occasion. Between the above times unknow suspects have tried to gain entry to the address breaking the door handle and blowtorching the area around the lock no entry is gained.
Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Monday 27th April 0000hrs and Tuesday 28th April 1500hrs to check if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
