Dear Resident, You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of an attempted burglary / theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on Herschel Road, Bradford, during the early hours of Sunday 19 April 2026. Incident detailsAt approximately 02:16hrs on Sunday 19 April 2026, an unknown suspect entered the front driveway of a semi‑detached property on Herschel Road, where two vehicles were parked. The suspect accessed a silver VW Golf and entered the vehicle via the driver’s side front door. The suspect sat in the driver’s seat and carried out an untidy search of the centre console before opening and searching the glove box. During this search, the suspect stole a black Samsung mobile phone, valued at approximately £200. The suspect then exited the vehicle, opened the boot, and conducted a further untidy search. At around 02:18hrs, the suspect walks towards the front door of the property and attempts the door handle by hand. The suspect appeared to try unlocking the door, possibly using keys taken from the vehicle, before leaving the premises.
