🚗 Crime Prevention Alert: Vehicle Thefts at Newmillerdam

We’re raising awareness following two vehicle thefts in the Newmillerdam area over the weekend.

Incident 1 – Saturday 11 April

A white Nissan Navara was stolen without the keys from The Dam Inn car park between 21:30 and 23:30.
The thieves were not seen and no suspects have been identified.

Incident 2 – Sunday 12 April

A green Range Rover Defender (75th Anniversary Edition) was stolen from the Newmillerdam car park at around 19:20.
The victim had parked the vehicle before going for a walk. Within minutes, she received a phone alert that the alarm had been triggered. When she returned the vehicle had already been taken. No suspects were seen.

✅ Use additional security devices (steering wheel locks, pedal locks)
✅ Consider a tracking device, especially for high‑value or 4x4 vehicles
✅ Avoid leaving valuables visible inside the vehicle
✅ Park in well‑lit, busy areas when possible
✅ Report suspicious activity immediately to the police
