|
Dear Resident, On Sunday 5th April, acting on information from the local community, PCs Rhodes & Lord from Wakefield Central NPT West attended a residential address in the Lupset area to make enquiries into allegations of drug supply. Upon attendance, officers noted a suspicious vehicle parked outside the address with a male sat in the passenger seat, this male was spoken to and then searched leading officers to the discovery of a large amount of suspected cannabis, a small knife and drug dealing paraphernalia. The male was arrested by PC Rhodes for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. Officers then went on to conduct a search of the house where a machete and cannisters of suspected nitrous oxide were found. The male was further arrested for the possession of the machete and possession with intent to supply Class C drugs. Following interview, the male was released to allow for further enquiries by the team, he will return for further questioning later in the investigation. We would like to thank those members of the local community that took the time to report their concerns to us.
