Attempted Burglary Near You - The Gables, Baildon BD17

Dear Resident

You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of an attempted burglary that occurred on The Gables, Baildon.  At 4.26am on 31/03/2026, CCTV captured footage of 2 suspects approaching the address. The suspects tried to snap the lock on the rear patio doors, the door handle was damaged but no entry gained. 

Crime occurrence 13260183717 refers. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (please add times if known) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
