Have your say in conversations with the police 💬 The Custody Detention Scrutiny Panel is recruiting volunteers across West Yorkshire who are passionate about making a positive difference in policing. The panel makes an independent assessment on whether they feel people are treated with care, dignity and respect, and volunteers have the power to impact real change. Recruitment is open until April 19, and more information can be found below: What is a Custody Detention Scrutiny Panel? The panel helps hold the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police accountable for practices affecting those in custody. What does a member do? Who can join the panel? When and where does the panel meet? Usually four times a year, on a Wednesday, at Elland Road in Leeds. Members receive reasonable travel and expense payments. How can I apply?
