Drugs arrest - Eastmoor

Dear Resident,

On Monday 16th March, PCs Denton & Smith were on patrol in Eastmoor when they saw a silver car on Harewood Road close to where a group of known class A drug users were gathered. The officers observed one of the users walk away from the car and suspecting that a drug deal had taken place, they followed the vehicle and stopped it on Woodhouse Road.

The driver was detained and a search of the vehicle resulted in a bag of white powder and a rock of a hard white substance being found in the door pocket, these substances along with cash and a phone were seized as evidence. He was arrested for the offence of Possession With Intent To Supply Class A Cocaine / Crack Cocaine. Following interview at Havertop Lane Police Station, he was released with bail conditions pending further enquiries by the team.
