Burglary near you - Linden Avenue

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Linden Avenue, this occurred on Tuesday 17th March between 11:00hrs and 21:00hrs and the method of attack was by blow torch and then snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

Between times and dates stated the suspect have forced entry to the back door by burning out the lock and conducted an untidy search. The suspect has stolen electronics, jewellery, Asian gold and perfumes.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it: On Tuesday 17th March between 1000hrs - 2200hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
