Is your car keyless/push button start? Please be aware

We’ve had a rise in the in number of thefts of motor vehicles that are been stolen with the method of using a relay device. 

If your car is a push button start, the signal can be picked up by a relay device that can imitate your key and start your vehicle. This means offenders only need to be within a range of your keys to be able to steal your car. 

There are easy and cheap solutions to protect yourself from becoming a victim to this crime.

Buying a faraday pouch and placing your keys in this when not being used completely blocks the signal from your keys so the relay device doesn’t work. 

You can also block in the more desirable car with other vehicles at the property, have CCTV that covers your vehicles paired with adequate lighting to enhance the quality.
