Burglary Near You - Ewart Place |
||
|
Dear Resident
You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Ewart Place, this occurred between Monday 26th January midnight - Monday 9th February 1530hrs the method used was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.
THE ATTACKED PREMISE IS 3 BEDROOM TERRACE HOUSE. BETWEEN TIMES AND DATES STATED SUSPECTS BROKE THE LOCK TO THE BACK DOOR AND FORCED IT OPEN. SUSPECTS THEN PERFORMED AN UNTIDY SEARCH OF THE HOUSE TAKING VALUABLE ITEMS AND DAMAGING FURNITURE BEFORE LEAVING THROUGH THE SAME POINT OF ENTRY.
Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between this was a large window due to occupants being away on holiday but if you can check the time frame above that would be helpful - if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police. Should you have any information about either burglary please contact us on 101. Thanks
