Officers from Huddersfield NPT conducted a day of action in Lindley to tackle local issues raised by the community. Police attended at Reinwood Junior School and Lindley Junior School along with Kirklees Council parking wardens after concerns have been raised over the manner of driving and parking at school drop off/pick up times. Officers advised several motorists regarding acceptable parking.
Police have also attended at Dunsmore Drive following recent reports of inconsiderate and obstructive parking. Vehicles that were causing an obstruction to the pavement have been issued tickets.
West Yorkshire Trading Standards and Police have attended at Mr Blue shop and assisted with seizing counterfeit toys that pose a health and safety risk to young children. As demonstrated in the photo below, toys that do not meet the standards can break into smaller pieces and these present a choking hazard to young children. We encourage you to report any concerns you may have regarding counterfeit goods to us so we can work with partners to take action.
Thank you for the community's help in keeping Lindley a safe area to live in.
