Burglary Near You - NETHERLANDS AVENUE

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Netherlands Avenue this Tuesday 27th January occurred during the day between 0830hrs and 1910hrs the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN THE TIMES AND DATES STATED, SUSPECT HAS GAINED ENTRY TO THE PROPERTY BY BREAKING THE FRONT LOCK TO GAIN ENTRY AND PERFORMING AN UNTIDY SEARCH BEFORE STEALING A SAFE CONTAINING CASH.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Tuesday 27th January 0800-1930hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
