Sentimental Photographs and Money Returned To Owner, Leeds East |
||
|
Wednesday 14th January 2026 Today over £900 in money, sentimental photographs and letters were returned to a lady in her 70’s, following collaborative partnership working. West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were conducting work on residential flats, for Leeds Federated Housing Association when they discovered a box in a flat, with photographs and money inside. WYFRS Blue Watch liaised with Killingbeck and Seacroft Neighbourhood Policing Team, with a view to identifying the owner so the items could be returned accordingly. Following some partnership enquiries based on documentation, liaising with the Housing Association, and identifying the owner Leeds East NPT were able to ascertain details of the owner, returning the items to them in person. The lady was very grateful to receive the sentimental photographs and her savings back, sending her sincere thanks to all WYFRS Blue Watch for finding them, Leeds East NPT for conducting enquiries and the Housing Association. #PartnershipWorking
