Burglary Near You - Oaklands Close Keighley.

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Wednesday 7th Janaury 2026 , this occurred in the evening around 1920hrs - 1940hrs the method of attack was by smashing the window pane to the PVC unit and gaining entry. 

LOCUS IS A 5 BEDROOM DETACHED PROPERTY OVER TWO FLOORS. THERE IS A SMALL GARDEN TO THE FRONT AND A DRIVEWAY TO THE SIDE LEADING TO THE REAR GARDEN WHICH IS FENCED. THERE ARE CCTV CAMERAS LOCATED ALL AROUND THE PROPERTY WITH A RING DOOR BELL AT THE FRONT DOOR. BETWEEN DATE AND TIMES STATED TWO UNKNOWN SUSPECTS HAVE CLIMBED THE REAR FENCE FROM BEHIND LOCUS AND BEGAN KICKING AT THE REAR UPVC DOOR CAUSING THE GLASS PANEL TO BREAK AND SHATTER. ONCE INSIDE THE SUSPECTS HAVE MADE AN UNTIDY SEARCH THROUGHOUT TAKING ITEMS SUCH AS GOLD JEWELLERY, HANDBAGS ETC. THE SUSPECTS HAVE THEN FLED LOCUS FROM VIA THE DAMAGED REAR DOOR AND SCALED THE BACK FENCE.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 07/01/2025 1900hrs - 2000hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
