Burglary Near You - Halifax Road BD6 |

Dear Resident
You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Halifax Road, Bradford, this occurred on Tuesday 6th January between 1630hrs and 1645hrs and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.
VICTIM HAS NOT SEEN SUSPECT. SUSPECT HAS COME FROM AN UNKOWN DIRECTION AND HAS ATTACKED THE SIDE DOOR LOCK BY PRYING HANDLE AND SNAPPING THE LOCK. UNKOWN SUSPECT ENTER AND HAVE DONE AN UNTIDY SEARCH IN ALL ROOMS AND UNKOWN ITEMS TAKEN.
Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 1615hrs-1700hrs Tuesday 6th January 2026 to check if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
