Last nights patrols in Roundhay

Whilst out on patrol last night, officers from the Roundhay neighbourhood policing team came across a vehicle being driven well in excess of the speed limit. The officers brought the vehicle to a stop and spoke with the driver. 

It was apparent that the driver was intoxicated and they were arrested for failing to provide a specimen of breath. 
It was also found they were currently disqualified from driving and had no insurance, offences they were subsequently arrested for.

Earlier in the evening, we also caught a driver travelling at 44mph in a 30mph posted area. The driver was reported to the courts.
