Bogus Official - Suspect Arrested

Dear Resident,

Between 10.45 hrs and 12.30 hrs on 08/12/2025, the suspect attended an address on Elm Grove, Ingrow. The suspect pretended to be a council worker in order to gain entry to the address. Once inside, the suspect claimed to be able to arrange a house move for the victim but would require payment. The suspect escorted the victim to the bank where several hundred pounds were withdrawn and handed to the suspect. Nothing was reported stolen from the victim's house. The 47 year old male suspect has now been identified, arrested and charged with the offence.
