Bonfire Night Celebrations |
||
|
West Yorkshire Police is working alongside West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to promote firework safety this Bonfire Night. Thousands of people will enjoy fireworks safely, however, a small minority of people use fireworks to cause crime and nuisance in their local communities. Any action where fireworks are used to harass, intimidate or cause damage to others is a criminal act and anti-social. We will not tolerate this behaviour and the consequences are serious. You can be fined an unlimited amount or potentially risk jail for up to six months for selling or using fireworks illegally. Find out more at: Bonfire / Firework Safety | West Yorkshire Police Whether you're enjoying fireworks or lighting a bonfire, make sure you're doing it safely. West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have put together a toolkit to help you celebrate safely and you can read more at: Celebrate Safely | West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Let’s keep everyone protected this Bonfire Night, stay safe, be kind and enjoy the celebrations responsibly.
