Three charged for aggravated burglary in Eastmoor

On Monday 27th October, Wakefield Central NPT officers were made aware of an aggravated burglary which had happened the previous day at a residential address in Eastmoor.

The officers liaised with CID and between them they were able to identify the two suspects from the description passed by the victim and their local knowledge. PCs Gleeson & Craig attended an address in the Portobello area where the female suspect was located and arrested for Aggravated Burglary. Whilst at the address, PC Gleeson noticed subtle sounds inside the address and located the male suspect hiding in a cupboard, he was swiftly arrested too on suspicion of Aggravated Burglary.

Vital evidence was seized from the suspects linking them to the offence. CID then conducted an extensive and fast paced investigation which led to another male being arrested on suspicion of committing robbery.

A 30-year-old female has been charged with Robbery, fraud and threaten a person with a blade. A 37-year-old male was charged with Robbery and a 35-year-old male charged with handling stolen goods.

All 3 have been remanded into custody to await trial.
