Airedale Dispersal Order - Arrest

Dear Resident,

Yesterday evening whilst policing the Airedale area of Castleford and enforcing a temporary dispersal order, PC 841 Shaw identified an adult female who was suspected to be assisting offenders and obstructing the policing operation. The adult female was stopped in a vehicle and subsequently arrested for the offence of obstructing police, she was issued an out of court disposal through police custody which provides exclusion criteria beyond the timescales of the temporary dispersal order.

The Dispersal Order, put in place to address recent incidents of anti-social behaviour involving groups of youths around Airedale, was authorised under Section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. and was effective for a 24 hour period from 19:15hrs on 22nd October 2025.
