Increase in Vehicle Crime - Lindley/Greenhead wards

There has been an increase in Theft from Motor Vehicles and Vehicle Interference offences in the Lindley/Greenhead area, particularly in Edgerton, Marsh, Oakes, Lindley and Salendine Nook. 

Throughout October several reports have been made where person/s have been trying car door handles in the above areas and where vehicles have been left insecure, they have removed items from within. Please can residents be extra vigilant with regards to the security of their vehicles overnight, ensuring they are locked and secure, and ideally parked in a well-lit area covered by CCTV.
