Lodge Road, Bradford - Youths letting fireworks |
||
Dear Resident,
On Friday the 17/10/2025 at approximately 18.40pm West Yorkshire Police attended LODGE ROAD and the surrounding streets in Thackley regarding Youths letting of fireworks in a public place.
Officers arrived and after a short foot chase several youths were detained. The youths were found not to be in possession of fireworks at that point but did confirm they were part of the group who were letting off fireworks when spoken to.
Considering this they are now on the first stage of the Anti-social behaviour process and were taken home to be spoken to in front of parents. They will be now monitored for the foreseeable future, and any further Police involvement will mean further sanctions. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and the possession of fireworks in a public place is an arrestable offence.
Incidents like the above need to be reported via the correct channels, posting what is happening on social media will not get a response. It needs to be reported by ringing 999, 101 and the online web chat can be used when a crime is not in progress.
We are currently investigating the illegal sale of fireworks within the BD10 & BD2 area. If you have any information that could assist us then you can report it via 101, the online webchat or alternatively through Crimestoppers.
Kind regards,
