Burglary Near You - GALSWORTHY AVENUE

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Wednesday 15th October this, occurred in the early afternoon around 1pm into the evening roughly 9pm and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATES STATED, SUSPECT(S) UNKNOWN HAVE GAINED ENTRY TO LOCUS VIA BREAKING THE LOCK ON THE BACK DOOR. SUSPECT(S) HAVE MADE AN UNTIDY SEARCH OF THE HOUSE, AND HAVE STOLEN AROUND £14000 WORTH OF ASIAN GOLD AND £1500 CASH. SUSPECT(S) HAVE THEN MADE GOOD THEIR ESCAPE.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 15th October 1230pm-2130pm to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
