Attempted Theft of Vehicle - Airedale Avenue, Cottingley BD16

Dear Resident,

At around 1.30am on 15/10/2025, two males wearing balaclavas damaged, gained access and attempted to steal a Toyota RAV 4. This happened outside an address on Airedale Avenue, Cottingley. Two males, dressed in gray wearing gloves and balaclavas, can be seen on CCTV to be interfering with the front of the car. This lasted for around ten minutes before they managed to gain entry. Both males got into the car, started it and reversed. The car has a steering wheel lock. The suspects seem to attempt to break this off but repeatedly beep the horn, waking the owners. The suspects then run off but come back to attempt this again. The second attempt was to no avail, both suspects ran off.
