Burglary near you

Dear Resident,

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on01/10/25, this occurred in the early hours at 0130 hours and the method of attack was by blow torch and then attempt to snap the cylinder lock. 

VICTIM HAS WOKEN UP TO NOISES DOWNSTAIRS AND SMELT BURNING VICTIM HAS THEN OPENED DOOR TO FIND THE DOOR HANDLE BURNT

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between the above times to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
