Burglary near you

Dear Resident, 

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on 30/09/25 - 01/10/25, this occurred in the early hours between 2200 - 0900 and the method of attack was by blow torch and then attempting to snap the cylinder lock. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATE STATED, UNKNOWN SUSPECT/S HAVE ATTEMPT ED TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY, BY CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FRONT DOOR, LOCK AND HANDLE. IT APPEARS A BLOW TORCH HAS INITIALLY BEEN USED, BEFORE AN UNKNOWN IMPLEMENT WAS USED TO PRISE THE DOOR HANDLE AWAY. ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY WAS NOT GAINED, SUSPECT/S MAKE OFF IN UNKNOWN DIRECTION. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between the above to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
