Dear Resident

You are receiving this as you live in the vicinity of a Burglary that occurred between 1.30am and 2am on 27/08/2025 at an address on Staybrite Avenue, Cottingley.

Three suspects managed to gain entry to the address by forcing open the rear patio door but were confronted by the victim's dog and made off. They were also confronted by the victim, the suspects demanded that the victim hand over the keys to the victim's car. When the victim refused, the suspects smashed several of the car windows and made off on foot.

If you have any information in relation to the above please contact the Police on 101 or speak to a local PCSO. Please also check your CCTV or Doorbell camera if you have one during the crime timings to see if there are any activations. 

This is also a good time to check your own security, many offences are preventable with small improvements to your homes security.
