Local Priorities violent crime concern update

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Violent crime, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Police investigating a serious assault are urgently appealing for information about Lee Boocock.

Boocock, 36, is wanted in relation to an incident at an address in Shipley yesterday (Friday) in which a man suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

He is described as about 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing a charcoal-coloured t-shirt, dark coloured jeans and dark trainers with white soles.

There are also serious concerns for his welfare and urgent enquiries are being made to locate him.

Enquiries into the incident suggest that he may be carrying a knife and for this reason the public are strongly advised not to approach him.

Sightings should be reported immediately to police on 999, quoting log 1463 of 15 August.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/report-it, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
