At a recent PACT meeting for the Thornes area, issues were raised regarding the Secret Garden at Thornes Park, including anti-social behaviour and drug taking. 

Since the meeting, robust patrols have been conducted at the Secret Garden by PCs Lacy, Swift & Parker from Wakefield Central NPT West as well as routine patrols by the PCSOs.

Following these patrols, we can confirm that 13 people have been stopped and searched with drugs seized from 5 of these resulting in 5 Community Resolutions being issued.

NPT officers will continue to patrol this area over the summer months with a promise to tackle not tolerate offenders.
