On Wednesday 18th June 2025 PC Shaw and PC Doherty were on patrol in Airedale near to Kendal drive. The below pictured red motorcycle was sighted and failed to stop and drove without due care in an attempt to flee. PC Shaw successfully pursued the vehicle and the juvenile female rider was stopped, and reported to court for the above mentioned offence and for driving with no licence and no insurance. The vehicle was seized.
On Friday 27th June 2025 PC 841 Shaw as on patrol in Castleford town centre. A PCSO colleague had been dealing with a male drinking alcohol in the town centre contrary to the town centres Public Spaces Protection order (PSPO). The adult male was issued with a fixed penalty notice for failing to comply with the order. Castleford’s PSPO prohibits persons in the town centre (as defined in the to the below map) from using intoxicating substances or from urinating or defecating in a public place. Failing to comply with the order constitutes a criminal offence. The male involved in this incident had previously been warned.
On Saturday 28th June 2025 PC Shaw was on patrol in Airedale when the below pictured green Kawasaki was sighted being driven on Fryston Road, Castleford. The unknown rider abandoned the bike and made good their escape upon sighting the marked police vehicle. The motorcycle was subsequently seized.
