Burglar arrested after sneaking into home at Carlton Street, Wakefield.

Good Morning

A male has been arrested after sneaking into a property on Carlton Street, Wakefield in the early hours of Sunday 08 June. He stole car keys from inside the home and made off with a vehicle parked at the front of the property.

Thanks to alert officers on patrol, the vehicle was quickly sighted and stopped and the suspect was arrested. It was later discovered that the victims bank card, which had been left inside the vehicle, was used by the suspect at a nearby petrol station.

Double check all doors and windows before leaving or going to bed

It only takes a second for someone to try a handle and sneak in.

Remove all valuables, however small, from your vehicle.
