Parking Operation - Crosland Moor and Netherton Ward

Further to several sessions already undertaken this year, Crosland Moor Huddersfield NPT arranged some partnership work with Kirklees Council Parking Enforcement to target known and recommended parking hotspots - particularly those where pedestrian safety is placed at risk.

Areas targeted were Blackmoorfoot Road with the junctions around Dryclough Road, areas in and around Bulay Road, Thornton Lodge, and St Thomas’ Road towards Longroyd Bridge.  Several tickets and notices were issued.

Pleasingly, an improvement in compliance was observed compared to recent weeks.  Members of the public were spoken to and positive feedback received.  Kirklees colleagues have taken away some items where signage and road markings can be improved for further safety.
