Tools stolen from vehicle while owner walking dogs


Good morning

 

A  quantity of tools were stolen from an Audi estate that was parked on Keeper Lane, Notton  on Tuesday 07 January between 11:30 and 12:30 whilst the owner was walking his dogs nearby. The rear window had been pulled down to gain access to the vehicle. A fluke multi tester, Hilti SDS drill, impact driver, drill driver, grinder and a jigsaw were stolen along with a red Hilti bag. 

 

Please bear the following in mind:

  • Remove tools from vehicle if possible. 
  • Always lock all doors & shut windows, physically checking doors are locked. 
  • Always set your alarm/immobiliser and act if you hear the alarm sounding. 
  • Park in a garage or secure area covered by CCTV where possible. 
  • Park with the doors against a wall. 
  • Mark all tools with an engraver and/or permanent marker with your postcode/initials and/or using forensic markers.

  • Consider upgrading locks/fitting additional protection.
